1. Age 8 & under. Cutoff date is May 1st. Player cannot turn 9 before May 1st of playing year.
  2. Base length: 60 feet.
  3. Pitching distance: 42 feet.
  4. Preferred fence distance: 140 – 200 feet.
  5. Game length: Five (5) innings or no new inning will start after 1 hour and 30 minutes. No time limit for Championship Game.
  6. Cleats: No metal cleats are allowed.
  7. Lead offs: Runners may not lead-off. Runners can advance at their own risk (steal) once a pitched ball has crossed home plate.
  8. Balks: Will not be called.
  9. Infield fly rule: Does not apply.
  10. Bunting: No fake bunts.
  11. Speed up rules: Will be used for the catcher. The last batter that made the last out may run for the catcher.
  12. Maximum runs scored: A team may score a maximum of seven (7) runs per inning or record three (3) outs, 5th inning scoring is unlimited for both teams.
  13. Minimum number of players: Batting lineup must include a minimum of ten (10) batters. If the lineup goes below ten (10) batters, an automatic out will be recorded in the unfilled spot. Example: A team has only eight (8) players available to bat. When the 9th and 10th positions come up in the batting order, an out for each would be called.
  14. Minimum number of players to start a game: A team must have at least eight (8) players to start and finish a game. With the number less than eight (8) players the game is declared a suspended game and is not rescheduled. The suspended game is then ruled a forfeit by the Tournament Director.
  15. Continuous batting order: The entire lineup will bat. Players may be removed from defensive lineup during the game. Example: All uniformed players in the dugout must bat. If 15 players are on the roster and present, all 15 must bat.
  16. Batting out of order: All players will bat in a set batting order. Should a player bat of turn, he will be called out. It is the responsibility of each teams coach scorekeeper to keep the batting order correct. Scorekeepers should also verify at each inning that the scorebooks agree.
  17. Substitutions: Substitutions may occur at the coach's discretion. Free substitution.
  18. Late players: Any player who arrives late may enter the game immediately, but must be added as the last name in the batting order.
  19. Infielders: Six (6) infielders will be used.
  20. Outfielders: Four (4) outfielders will be used. Outfielders may not cover 2nd base for a put-out.
  21. Safety line: A thirty (30) foot safety line from the back tip of home plate and from the first base line to the third base line. Fielders must stay behind this line until the ball is hit unless the batter squares to bunt. Penalty, batter will be awarded first base.
  22. Stealing: A runner can steal second and/or third bas(s) but cannot steal home at anytime. A runner can only advance home from third base on a batted ball, or if forced.
  23. Defensive coach's position: Defensive coaches may not be allowed on the field of play and will coach from the dugout only.
  24. Time-outs: Each team will receive one (1) defensive timeout and offensive timeout per inning.
  25. There is no advancement on dropped third strikes by the catcher. Batter is automatically out.
  26. Runners must stay on the base when the pitcher is in the pitching position and the catcher is in the catcher's position. If the runner leaves the base early, the umpire will call "Time" and places the runner back on the last base occupied unless the runner was put out. This is not an appealable play. If the runner is put out, the call will stand and the runner is out. If then ball is hit, the defensive team has the option of the result of the play or a no pitch.
  27. Pitchers may pitch a maximum of five (5) innings per weekend.
  28. Mercy rules:
    15 after three (3) innings (2 ½ innings if the home team is ahead.)
    10 after four (4) innings (3 ½ innings if the home team is ahead.
  29. Umpires will enforce an avoid contact OR must slide rule at all bases. Malicious contact runner will be ejected. This will be a judgment call by the umpire.
  30. A must slide rule is in effect when an infielder is attempting to turn a double play at second base. If the runner is not close enough to merit a slide, he must peel away from the baseline. This rule is for the protection of the base runner. The runner will be called out only if his not sliding or peeling away affects the defensive play.
  31. If an umpire determines a player is injured and has a safety concern, the umpire may use his judgment to stop play even if the ball is not dead. The offensive players will be awarded one additional base for an injury and two additional bases for an outfield injury.
  32. The catcher must be properly equipped. Cup is mandatory.
  33. No restrictions on Bats.
  34. Coaches must have your team ready to play thirty (30) minutes before scheduled game time.
